GREENROOTS DESIGN FIRM
Rooted in Chester County.
Building for the region since 2002.
GreenRoots is a landscape design-build studio in Kennett Square, PA, designing and building outdoor environments for homeowners, architects, and developers across Chester County, northern Delaware, and the Philadelphia region.

Our Story
Where we came from.
GreenRoots was founded in Kennett Square in 2002, in the heart of some of the most beautiful residential land in the Mid-Atlantic. From the start, the goal was straightforward: do the work properly and let the results speak.
More than twenty years later, the portfolio spans estate poolscapes, sculpted gardens, sweeping hardscape, and intimate courtyards. The scale and ambition of the work have grown too. Homeowners, architects, and developers across the region have come to trust GreenRoots with their most significant outdoor investments.

OUR APPROACH
Design-build, without compromise.
Most landscape firms do one of two things: they design, or they build. When those are separate companies, the vision tends to drift. Details get lost in translation. Accountability gets murky.
GreenRoots handles both. Our in-house team builds with the same precision that goes into the design, so what we draw is what you get. Every project begins with a thorough site visit and a fully custom design, brought to life through detailed 3D walkthroughs before construction begins. From there, our team carries the design through construction, maintaining control over the details from start to finish.

COMMUNITY
Good design should reach beyond the property line.
Over the years, GreenRoots has contributed to school courtyards, conservation trails, bike parks, and community spaces around Chester County, including Unionville High School and the Kennett Bike Park. We also bring students from Williamson Trade School onto active job sites. The next generation of people doing this work matters to us.

Partners & Community
Community Commitment
GreenRoots is committed to being a positive presence in the communities we serve. Over the years, we've partnered with local conservancies to install pathways, trails, and walkways that get people outside and connected to the landscape around them. We've helped create a courtyard at Unionville High School, and worked alongside churches, schools, and civic organizations to build better outdoor spaces for everyone who uses them.
Beyond our design work, we're proud to support the events and causes that make Chester County a place worth putting down roots: from high school sports teams to local fundraisers and community gatherings.
